The challenge: manufacture parts to verify their dimension
Soldavigil manufactures parts, spare parts, templates, supports and all kinds of components for the automotive sector. And in most cases, these components have to be tested and manufactured multiple times to verify their dimensions and verify that the part fits perfectly with the rest.
For this reason, the company was looking for a manufacturing method with which to create components without having to invest a lot of time or financial resources, being able to produce different dimensions of the desired part until it found the most suitable one.
The solution: 3D printing
At INTECH3D we studied the needs of Soldavigil, which used to manufacture this type of templates through Subtractive Technology and a machining center, to find the best 3D manufacturing option.
Ultimately, the best solution for them was the application of a plastic extrusion 3D printer.

Now, 3D printing allows Soldavigil to manufacture dimensional verification, welding and assembly tools quickly and more economically than machining them, reducing the manufacture of a component from 2 weeks to 2 days.
Thanks to the new 3D printing manufacturing method currently used by Soldavigil, the manufacturing time of each component has been reduced by 85.7% compared to the manufacturing method used previously. Delivery times and also the manufacturing costs of each component are much lower thanks to the implementation of 3D printers in their companies.
